Danielle Lei raked in the big bucks when she started selling Girl Scout cookies outside of a medical marijuana clinic.
Lei, 13, sold 117 boxes of Girl Scout cookies in two hours while sitting outside of The Green Cross on Monday. According to Lei’s mom, that’s 37 more boxes of cookies than what the Girl Scout sold outside of a Safeway (SWY) the following Tuesday. Lei got permission to sell the cookies outside of the clinic and it wasn’t the first time that she had sold cookies outside of a pot shop, reports Mashable.
“It’s no secret that cannabis is a powerful appetite stimulant, so we knew this would be a very beneficial endeavor for the girls,” Holli Bert, a staff member at The Green Cross, told Mashable. “It’s all about location, and what better place to sell Girl Scout cookies than outside a medical cannabis collective?”
Money made from selling Girl Scout cookies all goes to a good cause and The Green Cross has invited Lei back if she is looking to continue helping a good cause in front of the clinic.
