Doomsday Preppers: What’s Stored in the Arctic Circle Seed Bank?

Doomsday preppers will love this seed bank[1] located in the Arctic Circle.

The doomsday seed bank located in the Svalbard archipelago contains over 800,000 samples of seeds from around the world. The seed vault is owned by the Norwegian government and is run by the Global Crop Diversity Trust and the Nordic Genetic Resources Center. The bank, which is about half way between the Norway and the North Pole is designed to act as a backup for the world’s plant population, reports BBC.
