The Mega Millions jackpot is already above the $200 million-mark even though it’s only been a week since someone won a $425 million jackpot.
A $195 million jackpot was at stake during Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing but no one matched the winning numbers. Lottery hopefuls will be looking to get a ticket for Friday night’s drawing as the jackpot has risen to at least $216 million with a cash option prize of $119 million.
Tuesday night’s numbers were 12, 18, 25, 35, and 66. The Mega Ball was 15 and the Megaplier was five. Two ticket holders in Arizona and Maryland won $1 million each as they matched all five numbers but did not match the Mega Ball.
Meanwhile, the Powerball for tonight is at $50 million. Last week’s winner won the sixth-largest jackpot in the U.S. and the fourth-largest jackpot in the history of the Powerball.
The largest jackpot ever in the U.S. is a $656 million Mega Millions jackpot from March 2012 which included three winning tickets.
