The Powerball jackpot has reached $284 million for Wednesday’s drawing.
While the jackpot hasn’t broke the $300 million mark yet, an increase in ticket sales might be enough to nudge the jackpot up to $300 million, reports Newsday.
Ten people held tickets that matched the first five numbers of the Powerball jackpot — 24, 25, 34, 37 and 54 — during Saturday’s drawing, but none of them matched the Powerball number of 29. Each of those 10 tickets are worth a prize of around $1 million.
The $1 million tickets from Saturday’s drawing came from California, Colorado, Florida, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Texas and West Virginia. New York and California each had two winning tickets.
As of right now, Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot winner will have a cash option of $162.7 million, reports The Star-Ledger.
