The toothpaste-tube-bomb warning comes from the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee. The warning states that terrorist may work to create bombs that contain little to no metal in toothpaste tubes and that they would be hard to detect. However, not many flights will be leaving directly for Russia from the United States. Instead, most of the flights into Russia will come from Europe and Asian countries, reports CNN.

“As always, our security apparatus includes a number of measures, both seen and unseen, and the Department of Homeland Security will continue to adjust security measures to fit an ever evolving threat environment,” one official told International Business Times[4].

A recent CNN poll concerning the safety of the Sochi Winter Olympics found that 57% of the Americans that voted expected there to be a terrorist attack at the games.
