Uncle Ben’s Infused Rice Recall: Dozens of Children Sickened

Mars Foodservices is recalling[1] several of its Uncle Ben’s Infused Rice products.

uncle-ben's-infused-rice-recall[2]The recall of Uncle Ben’s Infused Rice products comes after around 60 children became ill from eating the products at schools. The product resulted in the children experiencing burning, itching rashes, headaches and nausea for 30 to 90 minutes.

The recalled products include the following.

The recall is only affecting products that are sold in large quantities to locations such as restaurants, schools, hospitals and other commercial establishments. Uncle Ben’s Infused Rice products sold at retailers are not affected by the recall. However, the affected products may be available for purchase online or at warehouse-like retailers.

Anyone who has purchased prodcuts affected by the recall should return them to the seller or dispose of them.
