Kraft Foods’ (KRFT) Oscar Mayer has released a new device for Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone that allows users to smell bacon when they wake up in the morning.

The devices are currently in their beta, but Oscar Mayer is holding a contest to give away a limited number of the devices to United States’ residents.

Those interested in testing the new device only have to answer a few simple question at the device’s official website. The questions asked during the beta-tester application are over the top. Here is an example of one of those questions.

Oscar Mayer bacon is brined, then cured for 12 hours. How long would you be willing to wait?”

Options for answering the question are as follows.

  • 12 hours is nothing.
  • 5 minutes, maybe 10, tops.
  • An eternity, for true love is timeless.
  • However long it takes.

The advertising campaign surrounding Wake Up & Smell the Bacon is also accompanied by a ridiculous commercial. Check it out below.
