The subscription for Office 365 is $99 a year for iPad and $0 a year for those who get to a local store ASAP. The first fifty people who show up at their local Microsoft store with an iPad in hand will get Microsoft Office for free.

The offer runs from March 28 through March 30. Additionally, you can still use some features of Microsoft Office if you don’t pay for a subscription or make it to your local store.

Although you won’t be able to edit or create documents without a subscription, you can still look at Microsoft Office documents on your iPad.
