'Game of Thrones' not included in the deal

Amazon (AMZN) has signed a deal with HBO that will bring older TV series to members of its Prime video service.

The deal will also include older seasons of HBO shows that are still running. Not included in the deal is Sex and the City, Entourage and Curb Your Enthusiasm. These shows are currently unavailable due to syndication deals, reports Recode.

HBO’s Games of Thrones also won’t be included in the streaming deal. Syndication rights aren’t an issue here. Instead, HBO is keeping that series out of the deal because it’s too valuable. This allows HBO to keep the popular show on its streaming service, HBO Go.

HBO shows will starting showing up on Amazon Prime on May 21. It will cost customers $99 a year for a Prime subscription.
