Applebee’s Customer Bites Into Metal Bolt in Burger

Applebee’s (DIN[1]) will probably get more than just a complaint after what a customer found in a burger.

Applebee's[2]Diana Almarez was surprised[3] to find a metal bolt inside her slider in an Applebee’s restaurant located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The woman didn’t discover the bolt inside the burger until she actually bit into the tasty sandwich.

Almarez and her family called for the location manager after the incident but they were unavailable. Several customers took picture of the bolt inside the burger but the real outrage came after the Applebee’s continued to serve sliders.

Although she had her meal comped, Almarez was surprised to see that the restaurant served sliders to other customers even though the meat could be contaminated.

DIN stock is up about 0.8% on Wednesday.
