Potbelly Menu to Add Flatbread for Calorie Counters

Flatbread sandwiches will have 90 less calories than normal ones

Potbelly (PBPB), a Chicago-based sandwich shop, is adding flatbread to its menu in an effort to attract customers that are worried about calorie counts.

These flatbread sandwiches will have around 90 calories less than a normal sandwich and are expected to cost about 20 cents more. The flatbread sandwiches will start becoming avilable at shops on May 6, reports The Chicago Tribune.

Potbelly also serves sandwiches on thin-cut bread. It started adding these smaller sandwiches to its menu several years ago. These sandwiches have less meat than a normal sandwich, The Tribune notes.

Potbelly is also expanding its locations and plans to open its first shop in North Dakota. The shop will be located in West Fargo and will open in the summer.
