Hyundai is the greenest automaker in the U.S., according to a report by the Union of Concerned Scientists.
The nonprofit said that Hyundai’s success can be attributed to “turbocharging and downsizing engines in a number of its models while also introducing hybrid-electric versions of two of its top-selling vehicles, the Hyundai Sonata and Kia Optima.” The ranking is largely determined by tailpipe emissions.
HMC stock is up about 0.37% on Tuesday. TM stock is up 0.3%.
