Disney’s Maker Studios to Cut 10% of Workforce

Disney’s Maker Studios (DIS) is looking to cut back on its workforce.
The network — which employs about 380 workers — is reducing approximately 10% of its employees. Disney’s Maker Studios did not elaborate on the cutbacks.
“Maker’s business is constantly evolving, and we routinely reassess our internal resources and make strategic adjustments, reducing staff in some areas while actively hiring in others,” the network said in a statement to Variety.
Disney acquired Maker Studios in March for $500 million. The deal is based on performance and it could be worth up to $900 million .
