The buyer of the 1975 Lamborghini Countach LP400 “Persicopica” paid a reported $1.2 million to take possession of the luxury Italian sports car, which became the face of the “super car” in the 1970’s and early 1980s. Surprisingly, this marks the first time a Lamborghini Countach has broken then $1 million mark. Last year a Lamborghini Countach was sold for just $836,000 at auction, AutoWeek notes.

The Lamborghini Countach that sold for $1.2 million features the iconic “roof-mounted periscope-style rearview mirror that adorned the first 150 Countach models.” It was originally sold in Switzerland, but arrived in the U.S. in 1978. The Lamborghini Countach had just 10,252 miles on its odometer when it went to the auction block.
