Tony Awards 2014: The Winners List

The Tony Awards 2014 took place on Sunday night at the Radio City Music Hall in New York.

Sunday marked the 68th Tony Awards. The event was first started back in 1947 by the American Theatre Wing. Winners are chosen at the event by a group of 700 judges that come from various parts of the entertainment industry.

  • Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical — Neil Patrick Harris for Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
  • Best Performance by an Actress in the Leading Role in a Musical — Jessie Mueller for Beautiful–The Carole King Musical.
  • Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play — Mark Rylance for Twelfth Night.
  • Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play — Sophie Okonedo for A Raisin in the Sun.
  • Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical — James Monroe Iglehart for Aladdin.

  • Special Tony Award for Lifetime achievement in Theatre — Jane Greenwood
