Sprint (S) Replaces ‘Framily’ With New Low-Priced Family Plans

Family members can get four lines and 20GB of data for $160

Sprint (S) announced new, low-priced family plans beginning this month.

SprintThe cellphone provider is rolling out the Sprint Family Share Pack which offers high-speed data plans at a low price, according to a press release. The plan will be available starting August 22.

Family members can choose from a variety of plans including four lines and 20GB of data for $160. Sprint is also offering a limited-time promotion for its new family plans including 20GB of data for a family with up to 10 lines for $100 a month through 2015.

The company is including an added bonus where customers will get an additional 2GB per line for up to 10 lines. Sprint compared its Family Share Pack plan with similar family plans from competitors:

For a family of four, that’s a savings of $60 per month better than AT&T’s and Verizon’s current pricing through 2015; double the data of Verizon; and more than double the high-speed data of AT&T and T-Mobile.

S stock is down about 4.2% Tuesday afternoon.
