The first vehicle with an Apple (AAPL) CarPlay system has been sold to a client in Italy.
Apple CarPlay is a system installed in vehicles that allows drivers to do several tasks with their voice. Features included in CarPlay that drivers can take advantage of are message notifications, maps, music streaming, hands-free calling and more, reports ZDNet.
Apple’s CarPlay is powered by iOS and uses Siri to issue voice commands to cars equipped with the system.
The first vehicle to feature Apple’s CarPlay is a Ferrari FF. Ferrari’s upcoming California T can also be customized to include the system. CarPlay will also be coming to several other models. This will include models manufactured by Honda Motors (HMC), Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, and Tata Motors’ (TTM) Jaguar, ZDNet notes.
