The chain’s low-calorie move is meant to appeal to a demographic that does not eat pizza on a regular basis. Pizza Hut’s Skinny Slice pie actually comes with the same ingredients as the restaurant’s traditional offering.
The main difference between the Skinny Slice and the chain’s traditional pizza is the amount of calories. The Skinny Slice comes with a thinner crust, less pizza and lighter ingredients.
A Skinny Slice slice has 210 calories compared to a traditional pizza’s 290 per slice–a 30% difference.
Pizza Hut is testing this offering in 47 restaurants in Toledo, Ohio and Palm Beach, Fl.
