The fire spread on the Six Flags roller coaster at about 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon. No injuries resulted from the accident.
The Colossus ran for 36 years before closing down last month. The company plans to replace the ride with a roller coaster made of wood and steel called Twisted Colossus.
SIX stock is down about 0.2% Tuesday afternoon.
