The shoe manufacturer said Ribbat will take over in late January 2015. He’s been in the board of directors since January 2014 and he’s helped transform the company, according to Thomas J. Smach, Crocs chairman of the board.
“My goal is to build on that strategic work while continuing to establish one of the best teams and cultures in the industry,” Ribbat said. His most recent executive position was at Spanx as interim CEO.
President Andrew Rees will continue his current position and report to Ribbat. The new Crocs CEO will also remain in the board of directors.
“I’m confident and excited for the future of the Crocs brand, and I look forward to working with Andrew and the team to help Crocs reach its full potential across the globe,” Ribbat said.
CROX stock is up 1.73% Tuesday afternoon.
