Xbox Live was unable to be accessed by many on Monday as a result of hacker group Lizard Squad’s attack on the service. The group used a DDOS attack against the Microsoft service. They said that this hack is just a forerunner to more that will come during the Christmas season, reports PC Magazine.
Xbox Live hasn’t been the only gaming service that has been attacked by Lizard Squad. The hacker group has also claimed responsibility for an attack on Sony’s (SNE) PlayStation Network and several of Electronic Arts’ (EA) games, PC Magazine notes.
Following the attack on Xbox Live, Lizard Squad Tweeted to its followers asking who it should target next. The group considers itself to be “The ddos kings,” reports The Independent.
