Overstock.com, Inc. (OSTK) stock is dropping today.
The company announced plans to release a video streaming service to rival Amazon (AMZN) and other paid services. VOD service is slated for a mid-2015 release.
Overstock’s service will be available to members of the company’s loyalty program. VOD will initially include about 30,000 titles for rent or purchase.
Bitcoin was recently offered as a payment option to Overstock employees. The website has been accepting Bitcoin as payment since Jan. 2014.
OSTK stock is down 3.6% Wednesday afternoon.
