Lumber Liquidators (LL) fired Chief Merchandising Officer William Schlegel on Monday.
Schlegel had served as Lumber Liquidators’ CMO for four years before being fired. He’ll work his last day with the company on Friday and will be replaced with Marco Pescara, the company’s current Chief Marketing Officer, reports the Associated Press.
Lumber Liquidators didn’t announce why it was firing Schlegel. While a new replacement for Schlegel is already available, the company is still looking for a new CEO following Robert Lynch’s departure in May, the Associated Press notes.
Lumber Liquidators is going through a tough time following the departure of its chief compliance officer and finance chief on June 1. It’s also currently facing several lawsuits and an investigation from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, reports The Wall Street Journal.
LL shares were down 1% of as of Monday afternoon.
