TransUnion IPO: TRU Stock Rises After Wall Street Debut

The TransUnion (NYSE:TRU) initial public offering (IPO) sent TRU stock soaring Thursday.

TransUnion IPOThe credit reporting agency was priced at $22.50 a share — or $4 billion — on its Wall Street debut. Shares were expected to sell at $21 to $23.

TransUnion said it sold 29.5 million shares in the IPO and could sell an additional 4.4 million if an overallotment is fully exercised. The company said it will receive $626.5 million in net proceeds to help it reduce its debt.

TransUnion posted net revenue of $1.3 billion in 2014.

TRU stock is up 12.93% today.
