GameStop Hiring 28,000 for 2015 Holiday Season

This is a 12% increase compared to last year

GameStop (NYSE:GME) will hire more than 28,000 workers for the 2015 holiday season.

GameStopThis marks a 12% increase compared to last year. GameStop will hire sales and service advisers for its retail stores, consumer electronic technicians for its refurbishment operation center, and warehouse personnel for its two distribution centers.

The video game retailer added about 25,000 holiday workers last year. There will be a number of new Xbox One, Wii U and PlayStation 4.

A number of other companies have announced plans to hire seasonal workers this holiday season including Macy’s, Walmart and UPS.

GME stock is up 0.6% Tuesday.
