Google Docs (NASDAQ:GOOG,NASDAQ:GOOGL) and Google Drive are down Friday afternoon.
The Excel-based software that often requires Internet to use is down for the 240 million customers in the U.S. who use it, including 1 million paying customers.
The Twitter accounts for Google Docs and Google Drive tweeted about the issue, saying they knew something was up and they will provide updates on the matter.
Google is investigating the issue. In the meantime, the services are being listed under “service disruption.”
GOOG stock is up 0.7% Friday. GOOGL stock is up 0.64% Friday.
