The storm that hit the Royal Caribbean cruise ship was so powerful that the captain confined the 4,529 passengers to their quarters. He later said that Sunday was one of his most challenging days at sea, reports USA Today.
Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas suffered damage due to the strong storm that hit it on Sunday. Most of the damage was superficial and none of it affected the sea worthiness of the vessel. There were also no serious injuries reported, USA Today notes.
The Anthem of the Seas was set for a seven-day cruise down to the Bahamas, but it will now dock at Cape Canaveral, Fla., due to the weather. It was expected to dock midday Monday, but has been further delayed, reports ABC News.
