Jetpacks may soon be used in mass transportation.
The devices are designed to help human beings fly at very fast speeds for a short period of time. JetPack Aviation has worked on the JB-9 for over 40 years, a vehicle that can reach heights of over 10,000 get and flying at speeds over 100 miles per hour, but it can only fly for around 10 minutes.
Now, the company is developing the JB-10 which is a more advanced version of the JB-9, with an added parachute safety system capable or rapi and low-height deployment, as well as an auto stability system. These jetpacks are not for sale yet.
There is also the Martin Jetpack, a $150,000 vessel designed to help in military-oriented rescue missions. This version is bulkier than the JB-10 but you may soon be able to get an upgraded version of it for $200,000.
