Nestle SA (ADR) (NSRGY) is looking to help develop a milk allergy test for infants.
Nestle will be working with DBV Technologies SA – ADR (DBVT) to develop a patch test that could be used on infants and toddlers to see if they have Cow’s Milk allergy (CMPA). If the patch is approved, NSRGY will handle its commercialization.
The deal will have Nestle paying roughly $11 million to DBV Technologies upfront with an additional $111 million up for grabs depending on how well the development and commercial use goes. NSRGY will obtain the exclusive rights to the milk allergy test for commercial use and will pay royalties to DBVT.
DBV Technologies is planning to have the new milk allergy test ready for approval from regulators across the world by 2021.
