Royal Caribbean Cruises (NYSE:RSL) has announced the world’s biggest cruise ship.
It’s still several years away but the company’s new Harmony of the Seas concept is slated to be the cruise experience with the largest ship in the world.
Royal Caribbean’s first Harmony of the Seas shipped out less than a week ago, carrying nearly 5,500 passengers. The new cruise will eclipse this figure.
CEO Michael Bayley said the reception for its most recent ship “is evidence that growing this class of ship will continue to drive exceptional performance for the brand.”
The new Harmony of the Seas will set sails in 2021.
RSL stock is down 2.8% Thursday.
