The winner of this year’s World’s Ugliest Dog has been announced.
Sweepee Rambo was crowned as the World’s Ugliest Dog at the event held at the Sonoma-Marin Fair held in California over the weekend. The dog is a Chihuahua/Chinese Crested miniature owned by Jason Wurtz.
The 2016 World’s Ugliest Dog contest had 17 different canines competing for the title. It’s been going on for over 50 years now and has been held at the Sonoma-Marin Fair for the majority of that time.
“We celebrate the spirit and imperfections that make these dogs loveable and adoptable,” Karen Spencer, the marketing director for the contest, said in a statement.
