Two of the mRNA molecules developed by Sunshine Biopharma were shown to be effective in destroying cancer cells grown in culture. The company notes that this saw the molecules wiping out cancer cells from multiple different types of the disease, including those resistant to drugs.

In addition to that, Sunshine Biopharma notes that toxicity studies of the mRNA molecules were positive. That includes little to no cytotoxic effects in non-transformed human cells.

According to Sunshine Biopharma, these results show the promise its mRNA molecules have in treating patients with cancer. It also notes that they are ready to be delivered via mRNA vaccine technology.

That’s a massive win for SBFM stock, but it still might take some time to get these to market. The company notes that it has yet to file patents on these two mRNA molecules. We’ll also have to wait and see what the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has to say about them.

Even so, that’s not stopping investors from diving into SBFM stock with heavy trading on Tuesday. As of this writing, more than 90 million shares of the company’s stock have been traded. That’s quite the jump over its daily average trading volume of roughly 2.7 million shares.

SBFM stock is up 146.9% as of Tuesday morning.
