George H.W. Bush Shaves His Head for Sweetest Reason

NewLetters[1]George H.W. Bush, the 41st President of the united States, shaved his head on Tuesday.

The former president shaved his head to show support for one of his Secret Service member’s two-year-old son[2]. The boy (Patrick) has leukemia, and when members of his Secret Service detail began shaving their heads to show their support, Bush decided to join in as well. The cause is one close to Bush, whose daughter died of leukemia in 1953.

Former President Bill Clinton tweeted[3] about Bush’s shaved head on Wednesday[4].

“41, you look great. Love what you’re doing. MT @jgm41 41 shaved his head to show solidarity w 2-year-old Patrick”

Bush’s Secret Service members have organized a website[5], and a 50 mile motorcycle ride to help raise funds for Patrick’s medical bills, reports CBS News.

Bush and his wife have already made a donation to Patrick’s website, reports Politico.
