Truckers Plan 3-Day Beltway Backup to Protest Shutdown

Group's Facebook page has over 63,000 'likes'

A group of truck drivers are planning on shutting down traffic in the Washington, D.C. area in protest of the alleged corruption that is destroying the U.S.

Fox News reports that the Truckers Ride for the Constitution group will block three lanes of the Capital Belway until their demands are met. The group will prevent commuters from passing through unless they have a sticker supporting the truckers’ cause. There are several issues that the group are complaining about including low wages, high gas prices and Obama’s alleged crimes against the United States and unconstitutional executive orders.

The truckers have been recruiting people to join their cause through Facebook and their page already has over 63,500 likes. The group’s Facebook page has the mission of declaring “a GENERAL STRIKE on the weekend of October 11-13, 2013! Truck drivers will not haul freight! Americans can strike in solidarity with truck drivers… Truckers will lead the path to saving our country if every NewLettersAmerican rides with them.”

A spokesman for the group said that one of the group’s demands is to remove Obama from office and that is their only non-negotiable demand.
