Twitter (TWTR[1]) may be looking to add shopping to its online services[2].

twtr-twitter[3]Several Twitter users have reported seeing a “payment and shipping” option in the Android apps settings. The option currently doesn’t have any use, but it may serve as a way for users to update their credit or debit card data and address in the future, reports The Next Web.

The payment and shipping option adds to a slew of clues that Twitter has been moving toward commerce on its website. Other clues include a “Buy Now” button that was added to certain Tweets and leaked documents of commerce plans. The social media website is also rumored to be teaming up with payment provider Stripe, The Next Web notes.

Other new features being tested by Twitter include explanations for hashtags[4]. The social media website is also working on upgrades for its directing messages[5].
