Spotfiy Was Hacked, What Users Should Know
Only one user was targeted in the hack
Spotfiy was hacked and the company is asking users of Google’s (GOOG) Android to upgrade to a new version of the app.
The Spotify hack only affected a single user. The company claims that no financial information or password was stolen in the hack.
As a safety precaution, Spotify is signing some people out of the app and will ask them to sign in again when launching the app. It also urges users to upgrade their apps and notes that they will have to re-download offline playlists.
Spotify has apologized for any inconvenience that comes as a result of the attack. Users of Apple’s (AAPL) iOS and Microsoft’s (MSFT) Windows Phone weren’t affected by the hack.
