Here are your Apple rumors and AAPL news items for today:

apple-aaplMacBook: Yesterday’s rumor that the MacBook Pro line would be getting an update turned out to be mostly true, MacRumors notes. Apple (AAPL) released new versions of the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros with Retina displays. The 13-inch version of the MacBook Pro now comes 8GB of RAM and a faster processor. The 15-inch version now includes 16GB of RAM and a faster processor.

Delay: Apple’s rumored iWatch may have hit production problems that will further delay it, reports AppleInsider. Rumors claim that the iWatch won’t enter production until the fourth quarter of 2014. These rumors stem from the fact that TPK, which is a supplier of touch components for Apple products, has set back profit forecasts by three months. TPk was first rumored to be working on the iWatch in February.

TV: Apple TV has expanded what channels it offers, 9to5Mac notes. New channels added to Apple TV include Fox Now and CNBC. These channels require a cable subscription before they can be watched through the device. The Fox Now channel includes reruns of several shows, including  American Idol, Glee, Family Guy and more. Rumors also claim that FX Now will be coming to Apple TV and that it will be bringing episodes of The Simpsons with it.
