Here are your Apple rumors and AAPL news items for today:
Delay: Apple (AAPL) may be delaying the iWatch until 2015, reports MacRumors. New rumors claim that Apple has run into production issues with the iWatch and that it won’t be able to meet its previously rumored 2014 release. The rumor claims that the tech company is having hardware and software issues with the device and that this is the cause of the delay.
Modem: According to a possible leak of iPhone 6 specifications, the device may use a faster modem than what the iPhone 5s does, AppleInsider notes. The possible iPhone 6 specs claim that it will use Qualcomm’s (QCOM) MDM9625 modem. If the iPhone 6 does indeed use the talked about modem, it will result in connection speeds that are 50 megabits faster than what the iPhone 5s can handle. This would put its connection speed up to 150 Mbps.
Beta: Apple has released the iOS 8 beta 6, but only to testing partners, reports BGR. Developers won’t get a chance to play around with the iOS beta 6, which was released today. This is reportedly because the beta 6 build is so close to the final build that Apple is only letting testing partners have a look at it. One source claims that testing partners have until September 5 to approve the current version of the iOS 6 beta. However, one partner may have already rejected the build because of errors when loading up YouTube through Safari.
