Twitter has changed it so that Favorites now appear on users’ timelines as it they were Retweeted by another user. This has many users upset over seeing things they really don’t care about. The change to the Favorites system is the latest in tests often performed by the social media website and may not be permanent, reports Mashable.

Twitter is likely testing out the changes to Favorites as a way to push more engagement. However, the change brings major differences to users’ feed comapred to before it was implemented. Not everyone is seeing these changes, but those who are don’t seem happy about it, Mashable notes.

Here are a few Tweets from users not happy about the Favorites change.

  • “Dear @twitter, Favorites serve a different function to retweets. Please stop trying to confuse the two.”
  • “The “Activity” tab in the twitter app is for favorites, NOT my timeline!!!”
  • “Why is twitter becoming Facebook?!”
