Reverse: Apple (AAPL) has changed its mind on calculator widgets and is now allowing them to be used with iOS 8, reports 9to5Mac. A spokesperson for the company has announced that calculator widgets will still be allowed to work with iOS 8. The change comes after the creator of PCalc claimed that he was told to remove the widget from his app by Apple. Now he has announced that the company called him to let him know his widget could remain in his app. It’s unknown why the company had a change of heart in regards to calculator widgets.

Wi-Fi: Some Mac OS X Yosemite users have reported issues connecting to Wi-Fi on the new software, MacRumors notes. Forum threads talking about the issue have appeared on Apple’s Support Communities and other websites. In these forums, users are reporting slow Wi-Fi and issues staying connected to a network. The issue with Wi-Fi connections spreads to various different MacBook models and routers. Several  resolutions have been offered, but not all of them work. Users that can’t find a fix are advised to return to Mavericks until an update is released for Yosemite that fixes the issue.

Iran: A new rumor claims that Apple is planning to start selling iPhones in Iran, reports AppleInsider. The information behind the rumor comes from sources that claim to be close to the situation. These sources say that Apple is in talks with distributors in Iran about carrying their devices. The sources state that the company has been meeting with these potential distributors at its London headquarters. According to the rumor, the company would allow distributors to handle reselling its devices and it wouldn’t open any Apple Stores in the country.
