MacBook: A new report claims that Apple (AAPL) may still release its Retina MacBook Air in 2014, reports BGR. According to the rumor, the main thing that was holding the Retina MacBook Air back from a 2014 release was the demand for Intel’s (INTC) Core M chips. However, the rumor claims that Intel has managed to send a shipment of the chips to Apple. If this is true, it could mean that the new MacBook might see a 2014 release. On the other hand, Apple has already made its holiday announcements and it’s unlikely that they will introduce a new product after that.
iPhone 6: According to a new report, Pegatron is expanding its production capabilities to help increase the supply of the iPhone 6, AppleInsider notes. The report claims that the company is expanding its production to meet the strong global demand for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. It will also reportedly be able to start supplying Apple with the iPhone 6 Plus. Currently, Foxconn is rumored to be the only supplier of the iPhone 6 Plus and is believed to be having trouble keeping up with demand. Pegatron already supplies Apple with some of its iPhone 6 smartphones.
England: A new report claims that Apple is planning to open a new office in England, reports MacRumors. The report claims that the new office will be located at 90 Hills Road in Cambridge. The new office is expected to open up in the next few weeks and it’s rumored to have a starting crew made up of 20 employees. The workforce at the office is expected to reach 40 in 2015. Exact details of what will go on in the office is unknown, but it’s believed that Apple will use it for research and development.
