apple-rumors-iphone-6s-release-aapliPhone: A new rumor claims that Apple (AAPL) may release an iPhone 6s in early 2015, reports Forbes. The rumor claims that the tech company could potentially release an iPhone 6s in early 2015 at the same time the Apple Watch is released. The new smartphones would work as an entryway for people interested in the Watch that don’t already have a compatible iPhone. The idea behind this rumor is that customers will want a new phone to go with their Watch, which means they might wait until September when the expected iPhone 7 is released to buy the wearable tech. Apple would avoid this by releasing the iphone 6s.

Firefox: A version of Mozilla’s Firefox may be coming to Apple’s iOS devices, MacRumors notes. A recent report claims that Mozilla Firefox VP Jonathan Nightingale told employees at an internal meeting that Firefox needed to be where its users were. He said that this meant they would be developing a version of Firefox that would run on iOS devices. This is a change in heart from a 2013 statement that had Nightingale saying that the company didn’t feel like it could make the web browser it wanted to on iOS.

Update: Apple has released updates to Final Cut Pro 10 and Xcode 6, reports AppleInsider. The updates bring Final Cut Pro up to version 10.1.4 and Xcode to 6.1.1. Final Cut Pro 10.1.4 adds the ability to import, export and edit Material eXchange Format. It can also handle editing and importing of Panasonic AVC-LongG files. Xcode 6.1.1 adds software development kits for OS X 10.10 Yosemite, OS X 10.9 Mavericks and iOS 8.1. The updates also bring bug fixes to both of the pieces of software.
