MacBook: Possible details regarding Apple’s (AAPL) rumored 12-inch MacBook Air have been released by 9to5Mac. According to the online publication, the new 12-inch MacBook Air will be thinner than all previous MacBooks. It will also be ditching SD card slots, USB slots and other ports. Instead, the new MacBook air will reportedly have a single USB Type-C port and a headphone jack. The keyboard will possibly stretch across the entire MacBook and the keys are closer together. However, its important to note that there may be changes to the device before it’s released.
Watch: A new rumor claims that Apple is preparing to release its Watch in March, reports MacRumors. According to the rumor, select Apple Store employees will undergo training for selling the smartwatch during the week of February 9. After this training, these employees will return to their local stores to train other retail employees. The rumor also claims that the tech company has continued to make small changes to the device, mostly software-based, since its was announced in September.
Patent: Apple has been awarded a patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for flexible electronic devices, AppleInsider notes. The patent, which is labelled as “No. 8,929,085”, includes concepts of portable devices that could be bent and flexed without negatively affecting their internal components. Concepts for a flexible iPhone are included in the patent and it also mentions a system that would allow users to input commands to the device by flexing it in a certain way. The patent also mentions bi-stable flex regions that would allow the device to remain in certain bent forms.
