The Facebook Lite app was launched in several developing countries over the weekend. These areas are acting as testing grounds beofre it’s decided if the app should be released in more countries, reports Tech Crunch.

Here’s a few things to know about Facebook Lite, as collected from TechCrunch.

• The app is exclusive to devices running on Google’s (NASDAQ:GOOG,NASDAQ:GOOGL) Android operating system.
• It only takes up 252KB of space.
• The app is designed to work on 2G connections.
• It allows users to send messages to each other.
