Watch: Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) CEO Tim Cook said that the Apple Watch will replace users’ gadgets in an interview with The Telegraph. Cook said that the Watch will be able to replace a person’s car keys and will have many other uses. He claims that users will buy it for one specific need, but will discover that it does so many other things for them. The tech company’s CEO also said that he has become use to checking his wrist for notifications.
iOS: A new rumor claims that Apple may be looking to launch iOS 8.2 as early as next week, reports BGR. According to the rumor, the next iOS update could launch on Monday of next week, but shouldn’t be any later that the end of next week. Accompanying this rumor was also one that said there will be four beta versions of iOS 8.3 before it gets a final release. There have already been two beta versions of iOS 8.3 released. The second one was released a couple of weeks ago.
Jobs: New job listings from Apple suggest that the company may be looking to get into the virtual reality game, 9to5Mac notes. Two of the discovered job listings appear to have a focus on virtual reality. The first one is for a Senior Display Systems Engineer that could aid the company with the creation of virtual reality environments. The second job listing is for a Senior Display Software Engineer that would be able to support graphics for virtual reality environments.
