Here are seven things to know about the new version of the operating system:

  • A 3D version of Paint is being launched with it, which allows you to take a photo, scan it and put them in Paint as a full 3D object. You can then convert it into a format that you can then print in 3D.
  • PowerPoint is significantly better now as there is an option to add 3D rendering. You can search in the Remix3D.com community as well as your creations. You can then add 3D models to your presentation by dragging and dropping an object into the presentation.
  • Virtual reality lovers will be happy to hear about HoloTour, a new app for HoloLens that allows you to explore and interact with places and cities around the world. It also works with regular VR headsets.
  • Going along with this concept is a control room for HoloLens users where you can walk through a number of different apps at the same time, escaping reality and making your physical space a digital environment.
  • Gamers will be happy to hear about the Xbox feature of the Windows 10 Creators Update, allowing you to broadcast your game by simply hitting the “G” button, which will let your friends know you are streaming.
  • Messaging will also be easier with the update.
  • The Windows 10 Creators Update is slated for a spring 2017 release.

MSFT shares fell 0.6% Wednesday.
