Tuesday Apple Rumors: 2019 iPhone May Include Rear-Facing 3D Sensor2019 iPhone: A recent report claims the 2019 iPhone will be getting a major upgrade, reports Bloomberg. According to this report, the 2019 iPhone will feature a rear-facing 3D sensor. This report claims that the 3D sensor on the rear of the device will be used for augmented reality (AR) functions, rather than Face ID. Tim Cook, the CEO of AAPL, has been focusing on AR as the next big push for the company.

AR Headset: A new rumor claims that AAPL will release an AR headset in 2019, MacRumors notes. This rumor comes from sources inside the company’s supply chain. Quanta Computer is the company in the rumor and it has confirmed that it is working on an AR headset. However, the company has yet to announce who it is making the AR headset for. It already serves as a supplier for Apple Watch parts.

HomePod 2: Rumor has it that Apple is already working on the next version of the HomePod, reports AppleInsider. The rumor claims that the tech company wants to create a HomePod speaker that also includes Face ID. These rumors are based on statements from supplier Inventec. Its president recently spoke about creating a smart speaker with facial recognition technology. These rumors come before the launch of the first HomePod.
