Martin Tillier (RSS)
Martin Tillier brings a unique perspective to writing about financial markets. He spent 18 years working in the Foreign Exchange market, initially in his home town of London, then in theTokyo, Moscow and Warsaw.
His job as a broker required an in-depth knowledge of the workings and interconnectedness of various markets and, perhaps more importantly, an understanding of the psychology and techniques of traders.
Martin left the market in 2002 and moved to the United States, following the loss of a family member in the tragic events of September 11, 2001. He spent some time out of the markets, starting and running a successful wine store, but the lure of the financial world was still strong, leading to him selling that business and accepting a position as a financial advisor with a major firm.Martin and his family now live in coastal North Carolina, where, when not writing, he enjoys the beach life and playing golf badly.
