Plus: A new report claims that Apple’s (AAPL) 5.5-inch version of the iPhone 6 will be called the iPhone 6 Plus, MacRumors notes. The report comes from a website called Mac Otakara and it was translated using Google (GOOG) Translate. The website also claims the the 4.7-inch version of the new smartphone will be called the iPhone 6. Mac Otakara doesn’t cite where its information regarding the new iPhones names comes from. Other rumors claim the upcoming device could be called the iPhone Air.
Launch: One website claims that both versions of Apple’s iPhone 6 will be released on September 19, reports AppleInsider. The website behind the release date rumor, iGen.fr, has accurately predicted release dates of other devices in the past. The website claims that both the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch versions of the iPhone 6 will be available on the previously mentioned date, but that there will be limited quantities of them. The website also lists model numbers for both versions of the upcoming iPhone 6.
Review: What could possibly be the first review of an official iPhone 6 has been posted to YouTube, BGR notes. The video shows off what is claimed to be a 4.7-inch version of the iPhone 6. While other such reviews exists, this one shows off many features that are said to be included in the iPhone 6. These elements include curved glass at the edges, the power button being moved to the right side of the device, a rear camera with a True Tone flash, a Touch ID sensor and more. While it can’t be confirmed that this is in fact an iPhone 6, it may be the best look users get at the device before Apple’s September 9 event.
