Apple Rolls Out iTunes 12.1 With Notification Widget

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) has released iTunes 12.1 for OS X and it includes new features.

This widget shows the user what’s currently playing and lets them move forward or back a track. The widget also allows them to buy the song if they’re listening to iTunes radio, reports Mashable.

The iTunes 12.1 update is 212MB is size. It can be downloaded from the Mac App Store by going to the “Update” tab. The updated Apple software also offers improved syncing with the company’s mobile devices, Mashable notes.

The iTunes 12.1 update is the first major update to the software since it was released. It was release at the same time Apple launched OS X Yosemite, reports MacRumors.
